Ello Loves!

We made it to Friday! 

Truthfully, this one has been a rough one for me. There is a quote that often came to mind during the week 

"I can't adult today." 

Being an adult has been the greatest test of all time. Haha. An ongoing one.  

Cause I'm only getting older! So this morning I thought of 5 ways we can enjoy our adulthood: 

1. "Work a job you love." No one likes the feeling like they are giving all their energy to something they don't love. 
2. "Indulge into your passions, your hobbies." For me (Photography, fashion, spiritual,etc.)
3. "Have good people in your life." Honest and pure people. With the best intentions. Gone are the days where we hang out with people out of obligation. 
4. "Let the nostalgia flow." I don't care if it's a old video game, Barbie doll, food,etc. Give in to those moments and enjoy the memories. Buy the snack your grandmother use to always have in her house. 
5. "Be positive." This one is very important. No one has plans to grow up and be that mean old man/lady. But if we aren't careful we can! We have to allow room for good vibes only. Let the negativity go. And try to find the solution. Do not wallow in your sorrow. 

Now that we got that clear. You know there is another key without saying because clearly we already know... DRESS FOR SUCCESS! Every Friday before work I dress up. Makeup, jewelry etc. Although, I'm feeling utterly miserable about going to work. I don't dress for those feelings. I dress for the mood I inspire to be in. And it always works people. Take this look for instance. Perfect for Friday. It says "I'm getting work done but I'm also partying after." Do not ignore the power of a great outfit. The dress is perfect for those causal Friday's at work. I guess the theme of this whole blog is... To take back your peace. Remain forever young!

Today I'm keeping it short and sweet. Let's be honest, today for some of us it's our first day back to work from a beautiful extended weekend. A weekend where we felt our most alive because the deals were outrageous! And we score on piece after piece, item after item. Hopping from Target to Walmart. Some of us were brave enough to stand in that Best Buy line. Not me. This Black Friday I had to be a little  more frugal than others. Besides I had everything I needed. Next year I wont be that kind! Haha! Anyway, I wanted to share with you this incredible outfit I put together over the weekend. Rocking the trend of the "faux fur stole". I wore this dress before on the blog. Hey Fashion Babes!

Normally when you think of tulle you associate it with a little girl with a tiara on.

Not anymore! Tulle is now for the big girls too.

I noticed us girls normally go for a more sporty look with it.

That includes graphic tee's, the denim button up, and the infamous leather jacket.

I decided to go more feminine... 

 Isn't this sequin top to die for?! Its BCBG Maxazria. It retails for 448$! But guess who got it for under 20 bucks?! Moi. The moment I laid eyes on this top I knew what I would be pairing it with.

Such a feminine look. Perfect for a "Girls Night Out".

The Walk Fashion Show : Second Time Around : PART 1

The Walk Fashion Show:

My second time around and I decided to go to both shows this year. Unfortunately I didn't make it to the second show. But this show was just as good. With the new comers being  showcased I was excited to see what they would bring to the table. Boy did they serve!

 Here are some noteworthy mentions:

Skandougless! Definitely unique and had everyone glued to the details on the model
with some very unique accessories. You couldn't take your eye off the runway. In my Top 2 of visuals.

The models would walk at a slow pace. Capturing the very eclectic dubstep feel music.
And at the end
of the runway they would hold a sign up and rip it after.

 

"Beauty in the Gray" The crowd roared loud
for this particular model.

 

This model. Her name is Shaunta. She did the thang! It also
may be that I've been knowing her most my life! lol
